Making the ordinary, Extraordinary

The new bark centerpiece, from the English "cortex", is a highly poetic but at the same time functional object, created by the designers Boucquillon & Maaoui for Alessi.

Inspired by the nature of the woods, the drawing of the tunnel allows the passage of the air, necessary to make the fruit breathe and keep it at best.

Its modeled profile and important dimensions make it suitable to be used both as a container and as a centerpiece.

The perforated pattern of the “Bark” range recalls the bark on the trees that surround the house. The result is a strongly poetic collection where every individual object proves to be, either in shape or in function, in continuous and harmonious dialogue with nature.
